Genuine MS® Celebrates Mississippi Farmers Market Week

Mississippi Farmers Market Week is celebrated July 7-13, 2024, to promote buying Mississippi products.

Farmers markets provide a direct link for consumers to access the freshest, locally grown produce and support our state’s agricultural economy. We appreciate our Genuine MS® Farmers Markets extra during this week and their dedication to showcase Mississippi grown, raised, crafted, and made products.

Mississippi is home to approximately 68 farmers markets, out of which 31 have been certified through the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce Certified Farmers Market Program.

Farmers markets play a crucial role in enhancing the well-being of Mississippians, offering them the opportunity to access a diverse selection of fresh, wholesome, locally produced food such as fruits and vegetables, dairy products, meat products, eggs, honey, plants and other specialty foods.
