What Makes Our Products Great?

Our head roaster, Kenneth Thomas, traveled to Portland, Oregon, the epicenter of advanced coffee roasting theory in the world, to train with the best and bring those skills back to Mississippi. He has a undergraduate degree in chemical engineering and is a physician by trade - that unique combination has provided the unique skill set to catapult Umble onto the national specialty coffee stage, winning multiple national roasting awards in the last few years. This skill level and 'one;y bring your best' attitude translates into a great cup of coffee!

As far as specialty-grade coffee, Mississippi is a 'specialty coffee desert' - there are very few specialty coffee roasters.
