Cathy Parisi / Painter/Framer: My journey started as a professional framer for Bryant Galleries of Jackson and New Orleans. My interaction with internationally known artist peaked my interest in painting. I work in watercolor and acrylic with added accents in ink. My style is unique as I am self taught. I continued painting after the closing of Bryant Galleries and found my way to the Mississippi Farmer's Market and Genuine Mississipi. Nina Saylor/ Jewelry Maker: I went to rural Alaska as a nurse in 2000.There was little to do in that small town in the winter. I gravitated to a small craft shop where I became interested in the beading technique of the Eskimos. They agreed to take me on as a student. After my nursing assignment ended I continued learning from books and online classes. I retired from nursing and joined my sister with Pearl River Framing & Art. We expanded our shop and added hand crafted beaded jewelry.
