In 2023 I was diagnosed with stage one cervical cancer and it made me take a step back. I was shocked, I was mortified! It just took my breath away. Meanwhile my husband was actually offshore working on an oil rig. This kept him away from home often. Not wanting to leave my side after my diagnosis he never went back again. But how would we make money? Once cancer free we delivered groceries, paid our bills, and saved what we could. Little bit by little bit working thru steps to make Da Bay Pickle Shrimp a household name. Our processing facility is out of a Katrina Cottage. Picture a small beautiful pastel color cottage with smells of Cajun seasoning lots of smiles and laughter. So just know the process takes several steps but we enjoy making every jar.
