Cooper Farms started out in the 80's as a hobby growing muscadines, blackberries and blueberries. Tim Cooper worked for MDOT for about thirty-three years as a project manager and needed something to fill his time between projects. For generations, the Cooper family earned their living through farming fruits, vegetables, cattle and hogs. Tim eventually took over the cattle farming from his dad. He had a friend who was Ag teacher in Alabama and encouraged him to start farming blackberries, blueberries and muscadines. Cooper Farms was the first farm in the area to do this, and it took off. Soon, we were selling to the local grocery stores. Then disease took the majority of the blackberries. That's when we started growing the muscadines.

What Makes Our Products Great?

Our produce and vegetables are home-grown and pesticide-and insecticide-free. We are proud of the products that we have. We go the extra mile for our customers. If a company wants to provide opportunities to their employees, we will come out to the organization and set up for folks to purchase locally grown. If we have a surplus of items and we know they will go bad, we donate to charitable organizations that feed the hungry.

What makes us most proud of producing Genuine MS products?

Getting to see the rewards from the fruit of our labor is very motivating. We enjoy getting to see our customers appreciate what we produce!
