A hundred years from that day Bootsie's Delta Funk BBQ has added to its lineup with 4 award-winning Sauces and 3 Rubs that are proudly made in an FDA-approved kitchen on the banks of the Mississippi River. In keeping with the tradition of our creation, and since barbecue is rarely a solo venture, we utilize only the best all-natural locally sourced organic, and GMO-free ingredients handcrafted in small batches so you can feel comfortable sharing our products. Bootsie's recipes trace back 100 years when the Boyd Family worked their share in Tunica, Mississippi. Our products ARE the history of Mississippi and we can't tell our story without also telling the story of Mississippi Families in the 1920s who left in the Great Migration only to return to their roots years later. The great thing about Barbecue is that it's a combination of all great things, from the European meats, to the African and West Indies Spices, to the Native American smoking techniques. Barbecue is the quintessential American dish.

All of our products are sourced locally. The honey featured in our Sweet N Smoky Sauce comes from bees in Mississippi and is fragranced with the floral notes of Mississippi flowers. Our company was formed when Mr. Adrian Boyd and Mr. Pete Grumbles met at Coleman's BBQ in Hernando and decided to create Bootsie's Delta Funk BBQ. Mr. Boyd had recently retired from the Navy and was moving back from Chicago to Pope, Mississippi. Mr. Grumbles lived in Southaven, MS, and had recently left a Barbecue Manufacturer in Memphis who refused to produce an Organic All Natural Product. After months of research and product development, their company was launched in September of 2016. In October of 2016, they competed at an Entrepreneur Pitch Competition sponsored by the Delta Regional Authority and were selected to be one of three companies to represent the State Of Mississippi at the Idea Village Pitch Competition in New Orleans. Four years later, Bootsie's Delta Funk BBQ is still in business, is in over 20 stores in Mississippi, Arkansas, Arizona, and Tennessee, and has 8 employees.
